Allison and Jason

Oh, it was such a wonderful feeling being reunited with these two! In the fall of last year, Cassie and I went to meet these two for their engagement session in Tampa. I was hoping I got to be at their wedding after that day because I felt we had connected so well. I know, it's probably obvious, but I am going to tell you anyways, I GOT TO SHOOT THEIR WEDDING!

When I arrived I was greeted with the biggest most warm hug. Allison was literally jumping and I couldn't have been happier to see her too. We hit it off instantly as if no time had passed since the last time we had seen each other. It was awesome. Allison, Daniel and I went up stairs to start our day capturing details and begin getting her ready for the big day. We were all so excited! There were many jokes, memories from the engagement session, and funny stories to help with the pre-wedding jitters.

We moved on to photographing her in her "Bride" robe, with the dress, and some other beauty shots. Then, it was time! Finally, we got to see her in her dress and my goodness was she beautiful! Her mom helped her with putting her dress on, as well as the other brides maids. They were all so sweet working together helping tie the back. Next up was jewelry! Her sister, and maid of honor helped her with her necklace, while other bridesmaids helped with earrings and shoes.

We began taking some of her bridal portraits in the room; They turned out pretty awesome if I do say so myself! Allison was wonderful with direction, she was like a model! It was lots of fun taking pictures of her. Soon after, we got everyone together to head to the church. It was almost time! She was so nervous, and so excited. It was wonderful being with her for it all.

When we arrived to the church, we knew the guys were going to be coming any minute. We made sure to keep out of sight for when they did arrive. While in the room, there were quite a few visitors coming in to say hello and wish the bride luck. These moments were beautiful to watch. When the men arrived, we split up between two sections of the church. Daniel went with the guys,
I stayed with the girls, and we did their bridal party shots before the wedding. Despite the rain, I say we got some beautiful shots of our ladies and gentlemen :)

Then, it was time! Their ceremony took place in a small chapel behind the main church. It was a beautiful setting for a more intimate wedding. The ceremony was beautiful. Seeing Jason's face light up when he saw Allison for the first time made me teary eyed. She walked down with her daddy, and as he gave her away the two shared a glance of excitement with on another. They had an interesting part of their ceremony that I loved. There are a lot of traditions at weddings I have become used to. The sand ceremony, the knot tying ceremony, the blessing of the rings, but this I hadn't seen. Together they built a beautiful cross, each piece representing something. It was a beautiful representation of them coming together under Christ. They said their vows, exchanged their rings, and right before their first kiss Allison looked to the crowd with the biggest "I did it!"smile. It was a very funny, and beautiful moment; Her excitement was definitely felt in the room. You can see that picture below.

Once the ceremony was over, we did the family pictures together. Then, when we went on to bridal party photos we realized the rain had stopped and we were able to shoot outside. Yay! We had some fun with our bridal party, celebrated our lovely couple saying "I do" and then got to the extra fun part! The newly wed pictures. They certainly made it easy for Daniel and I. They were so happy, it was beaming from them! We got some very sweet, romantic pictures of them, enjoyed laughing and catching up. Then moved on to the reception.

Their reception rom was beautiful! They had blue up lighting, a yummy buffet-style dinner, and wonderful friends and family excited for the night. They had a wonderful entry to their reception, a beautiful first dance that made me cry. Allison then danced with her dad, and Jason shared two dances with both of his grandmothers. Through all of their dances, I was crying. They were all so sweet, and such a wonderful thing to witness.

We ate, cut the cake, danced and laughed together. It was a beautiful end to a wonderful day. I am so happy I was able to be there with these two on their big day and am overjoyed with how the pictures came out! Hopefully you will enjoy them as much as I do!

Until next time!
